Studio 8
George Alwer is the president and owner of Studio 8. He specializes in music producing, field recording and complete audio post-production services. He provided music producing services for Netflix “Alrawabi School For Girls”, provided remote recording services for the action hit show “NCIS – New Orleans”, sound editing and sound design services for Bada Ams from Al Jazeera Podcast, recording the autobiography book for the four-time NCAA wrestling champion Dan Russell titled “Finish Strong”, in addition to many collaborations with local and regional filmmakers, musicians, content creators and TV stations.
Beside his field and studio expertise, George was invited multiple times as a guest speaker and sound trainer at multiple filmmaking workshops held by the Royal Film Commission and other organizations in Jordan. In addition, He also teaches sound design and music appreciation courses at The American University of Madaba “AUM” and Princess Sumaya University for Technology “PSUT”.
George’s educational background includes an MFA in cinematic arts from RSICA, The Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts, double majoring in producing and sound design. He also has a BA in music performance from Jordan University majoring in piano performance, in addition to him acquiring a Source-Connect Pro and Pro-x Certification form
Our Beginning
Founded in 2013, Studio 8 provided sound services for local, regional and international companies, filmmakers and musicians. The facility includes a fully equipped audiovisual recording room in addition to a 5.1 surround control room.
